Dear Patchworker & Quilter,
Our ‘Monthly Specials’ for August are now on the Home page of our website. These have proved to be a very popular feature, and we have often sold out of fabrics or products, so do make sure you take a look before this month’s specials disappear. Throughout the month of August we are offering fabrics which are mainly looking ahead to the next two months or so, giving you plenty of time to get sewing for events coming up.
October is the month when many of us become involved in fund-raising activities for Breast Cancer Research. Why not make some small quilted items to raise money, using our gorgeous pink fabric with the Supporting Breast Cancer logo incorporated in the design? At £6 per metre, you can afford to make a range of quilted or crafty bits and pieces while supporting this important charity. Halloween, at the end of October, is increasingly celebrated by children, so we have three co-ordinating fabrics this month to inspire you. Many of you enjoy including animals in your quilted pieces and we are offering three Timeless Treasures prints of cartoon dogs, bones and pawprints, also at £6 per metre. Although we are finally enjoying a (sometimes) warm and sunny summer, autumn will slowly creep in, so why not treat yourself to a beautiful charm pack from Moda’s Autumn Journey, available at the special price of £6. All of these specials are offered during the month of August or for as long as stocks last.
New stock continues to arrive, and you can view everything which we have taken recent delivery of in our ‘New Arrivals’ section. Moda’s new Christmas collections – It’s Snowing, Merry & Bright and Peace On Earth – are now featured under ‘Christmas Moda’. It’s Snowing and Merry & Bright are ranges which children will love, whereas the sophisticated Peace On Earth collection by 3 Sisters is available as a Layer Cake as well as from the bolt. If you haven’t met Layer Cakes yet, take a look: they are 10” squares of 40 different fabrics from the range, giving you greater flexibility in design and size of quilt. Additional material for borders, bindings and backing is available in six complementary fabrics from the collection, and all are competitively priced.
All postage and packing in the UK is free, so you save more than just pounds on the fabric. Do check the website regularly to discover whether the fabrics you have your eye on appear in our ‘Monthly Specials’.
With the Festival of Quilts coming up at Birmingham in the next couple of weeks, you will hopefully be provided with plenty of enthusiasm and inspiration to plan your next project.
